First post: the blog engine allows to set the date of the post to a time when this website wasn't created Useful cheat. First post but already a long journey through this virtual world.

About three years and half of personal work (mostly night work ;°) digging into pixels, vertices and bits. Easy to remember, I first put my hands on Unity 3d right after the birth of my son. Then came his sister. So it was the perfect job between baby's bottles, diapers and my beloved kids naps... That's the way I started to learn by myself how to get something consistent out of all the tools I like to play with: 3d modelling, graphic and texture creation, sound editing, scripting...

I have been sketching for years, and amongst the features of the current prototype, the landscape was already there. This fictional terrain, created from different aerial and satellite photographs, appears to be a character in itself.

I have ever been somehow haunted by a pre-apocalyptic fiction, inspired by "Mad Max" movie plot and games like Interstate '76. It appears to me not only as an anarchic or western-like environment to raise new heroes, but also as a way to reset or redesign societies - in between survivalism and open source/DIY alternative communitties. I'm heading toward such a "social" aspect in th eproject, where different clans would emerge, some peaceful and self-sustainable, some others having no choice but looting, some others willing to rule you again... and give the final word to the sum of the players through a free car game.

But there's no time left for dreaming out loud and, guess what, there are good fresh news in the next post.
