Motorhack: car survival game

Powered by Unity 3d, PC-Mac-Linux.

Free car game / one year subscription for extended gameplay.

Game genre

Action driving game, with survival and adventure aspects.

Multilayer gameplay.

Pitch

Action takes place in a not clearly located area, after a major economical crisis. Many governments collapsed, and ruled out huge territories. Nation-states have been replaced by local lords and barons, entrenched in main cities, taking shelter from both climatic disorder and human disasters.

Riding a bug-out vehicle filled with gears, commodities and a limited stock of gas, the player first appears as a lone wanderer, struggling for resources and for a safe place to chill out.

Every encounter is a threat, that could lead to looting and burning... But players may also be wiling to cooperate, as to catch an AI prey, or shoot down some really bad guys.

Player will face different communities that he/she can meet and join, after completing the corresponding missions.

Starting from a pre-apocalyptic situation, players can be wise, scavenge and defend their community, or act as a lone-wolves and contribute in chaos and collapse of civilization.

Current Gameplay

  • combat,

  • race, pursuit

  • transportation, conveying,

  • exploration, hunting...

Extended Gameplay

  • biped missions,

  • clan management,

  • scavenging, crafting, farming.

Requiring another development phase, the extended gameplay - based on open source  and DIY techniques for energy production, crafting, communication - will offer to play the hidden aspects of "Mad Max" genre stories: how can people restart a new living of their own, based on the remains of our world?

The prototype is currently proposing standalone and multiplayer scenes. The ultimate plan is to set up a persistent world that could collapse anytime, depending on the interactions between players...
